CDBG Works!
Funding Tomorrow's Communities Today

The Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG) was created under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and provides Americans with infrastructure, safe, affordable and accessible housing, quality jobs and investment through financing new and expanding businesses. CDBG’s impact can be measured in every corner of the U.S. and in the lives of millions of Americans, 95% of whom are low to moderate-income citizens

In 2025, NACCED will highlight member success stories and transformative projects enabled by CDBG funding, showcasing the program's vital role in supporting affordable housing, economic development, and community revitalization efforts.

Additionally, NACCED is engaging policymakers, stakeholders, and the public to advocate for continued investment in the CDBG program to ensure its continued effectiveness in addressing the evolving needs of communities nationwide.
